Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools is seeking a Special Ed Support & Classroom Aide to assist teachers and students in Clinton Valley, Clinton Township, MI. The role runs 8:55am–3:40pm, 6.25 hours daily, with paygrade 4 and hourly pay from $17.75 to $18.04.

Immediate start; full-time position focused on safe, confidential learning environments. Responsibilities include assisting in instructional activities, monitoring student behavior, data collection, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Training such as CPI and related modules is expected.
• Experience working with children, especially in special education, is preferred.
• Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist one-on-one or in small groups under the teacher's guidance.
• Support instructional activities including reading, writing, math, and life skills.
• Help manage student behavior using PBSP and IEP accommodations.
• Document data on behavior and academics as part of progress monitoring.
• Communicate with staff, students, and community as needed.
