Job summary

Crockett County Schools District Wide in Alamo, Tennessee is seeking a Lawn crew/maintenance worker to operate equipment and assist in grounds and buildings maintenance. This full-time role starts immediately and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

The candidate should be able to lift heavy weights, present a neat appearance around students and staff, and perform duties without disrupting the school program.

Qualifications

• Be clean and neat enough to present the proper appearance when confronting students, employees, and the public
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently, 100 lbs. occasionally and 100+ lbs. with assistance
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Supervisor
• Know locations of shut-off switches and valves to all utilities
• Report and remove hazards and dangerous conditions that may result in accidents and fire
• Use supplies, water, electricity, and fuel economically
• Perform duties as assigned by the Supervisor
• Work with minimal interference with the school program
• Shall not discipline students; report to the principal
• Attend meetings called by Supervisor
• Shall not perform major repairs
• Help unload prepared food from food service trucks occasionally
• Maintain satisfactory working relationships within the school environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
