Cedar Rapids Community School District seeks a nine-month food service worker. The schedule aligns with the school calendar: 8:45am to 1:45pm, five days a week, with nine months of employment and summers off. Nights and weekends off, and you’ll be home when your kids are home.

The role includes food preparation, serving, POS duties, and daily tallies for meal reimbursements. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of school food service program, nutritional standards, and sanitation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible hours available.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and handle school meals following standards.
• Assist with cooking as needed.
• Wash and dry pots, pans, trays, and silverware.
• Serve as POS for breakfast and lunch and verify meals.
• Process daily tally counts for reimbursements.
• Maintain open communication with the Food & Nutrition Department.
• Attend meetings and trainings; punctual attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
