Job summary

Spring Independent School District is seeking a Custodial Floor Technician at Spring High School in Houston, TX. This full‑time role supports Building Operations and ensures safe, clean floors and facilities.

Starting immediately with 260 workdays per year, the position pays $13.25–$15.59 per hour, nonexempt, Aux 2 pay grade. Candidates need a high school diploma and at least three years of custodial experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff and burnish hard floor surfaces.
• Shampoo, extract, and spot clean carpets.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, extractors and vacuums.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas including hallways, classrooms, offices, restrooms and other public areas.
• Disinfect restroom sinks, urinals, fixtures, partitions, showers and floors.
• Move furniture and set-ups for meetings and special events.
• Respond to emergencies or crisis situations in the District as directed by supervisor.
