Job summary
Soliant Health is seeking a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to support elementary and junior high students as a float building nurse in a Gurnee, IL area school district. This contract role covers multiple campuses with full-time hours and immediate start.
The successful candidate will manage diabetic regimens, catheter care, and routine medication administration while maintaining detailed medical records and collaborating with staff to ensure student wellness and safety.
Qualifications
- Licensed RN or LPN in Illinois must be active and in good standing.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred.
- Ability to manage diabetic regimens and complex pediatric care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct on-site nursing care as a float nurse across school health offices.
- Respond to acute and chronic health needs including diabetes management and interventions.
- Keep accurate medical records and monitor immunizations per state rules.
- Serve as health resource for students, staff and families, promoting wellness and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning with safe accommodations.
