Colorado Department of Education seeks a School Finance Analyst to ensure accurate and timely funding for Colorado school districts and charter schools. The role supports the Public School Finance Unit in calculating district funding, pupil counts, and related financial analyses to assist local decision-making.

The position emphasizes data quality, policy interpretation, and technical assistance to districts, with a focus on effective financial reporting and process improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, public administration, public policy, education, data analysis, or a related field.
• Experience with data sets and financial analysis.
• Ability to learn and apply complex financial formulas and statutory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Support administration of the Public School Finance Act, including calculation, reconciliation, and documentation of district Total Program funding and monthly state share distributions.
• Perform monthly and annual school finance calculations, including Charter School Institute funding and district estimates.
• Administer funded programs (CDE-40 Transportation, facility school funding, small attendance center funding).
• Review data supporting funding calculations and resolve data, calculation, and payment issues.
