Job summary

Pressley Ridge is seeking a Home Community Liaison for the Day School in Pittsburgh to identify student needs in the home and community and coordinate support beyond the school program. The role includes classroom support, collaboration on IEPs, and developing Student Support Plans to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a recognized clinical discipline including social work, psychology, rehabilitation or activity therapies.
• Requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Requires training and/or experience in mental health services prior to providing services.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families in home or community within the first month to assess needs.
• Coordinate transportation with school districts and providers to ensure safe services.
• Collaborates with the Special Education Teacher on IEP implementation and review.
• Support classroom team to assist students per IEP through individual/group work.
• Develop and review Student Support Plans (SSP) with classroom team.
• Implement classroom/behavioral management and school-wide policies.

Education
