Job summary

Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Transportation to oversee building maintenance, grounds, and utility systems while providing transportation support as needed. The role includes security responsibilities, preventive maintenance, and event preparation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CDL endorsements preferred, and experience in facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or 1–3 months related experience/training.
• CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements preferred or ability to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains all physical facilities on a planned basis.
• Assist in service and repair of HVAC / refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including landscaping, painting, roof repairs, flooring, and ceilings.
• Open/close school buildings and manage security alarms as assigned.
• Conduct preventive maintenance for buildings, equipment, and facility systems.
• Maintain all utility distribution systems (electrical, gas, plumbing, water, sewer, storm drains).
• Assemble and maintain furniture and equipment; clean and dust facilities.
• Sweep sidewalks and exterior areas; assist with events and meetings.
• Serve as backup transportation driver; operate school vehicles safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
