Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of proven maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and organization.
• Strong communication and ability to work with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of school facilities.
• Repair and maintain building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Address minor carpentry, painting, and masonry tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and vehicles.
• Monitor safety and security, including safety equipment like fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Maintain school grounds and outdoor facilities; handle snow removal.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, supplies and equipment; restock as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain building systems and schedules to maximize efficiency.
