Meeting Street Schools is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician, an hourly, non-exempt role supporting a safe and well-kept campus. You will inspect grounds and facilities, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with teachers and administrators to meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

The position requires a high school diploma, hands-on trades skills, and the ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility operations or related roles in high-expectation environments.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in educational environments.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and plumbing systems.
• Strong carpentry and mechanical skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the school facilities.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting and moving furniture.
• Complete repairs like ceiling tiles, lighting, or plumbing.
• Identify safety hazards and report with urgency.
• Coordinate with operations team and vendors as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of issues and actions.
• Ensure security procedures and safety protocols are followed.
• Submit work orders to district partners.
