Job summary

California School for the Deaf, Fremont CSDF) is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to perform a range of semi-skilled maintenance tasks and assist journeymen in alteration, maintenance and repair work. The BMW is expected to complete some work unassisted and independently while following directions from the Supervisor of Building Trades.

Two positions are available. Work location is Alameda County with in-office telework.

Qualifications

• Qualified for the Building Maintenance Worker classification.
• Maintenance, alteration and repair tasks performed under supervision.
• Eligible for eligibility lists per exam results.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled building maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Assist journeyman or skilled tradesman in maintenance and repair work.
• Complete some tasks independently.
