Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of custodial methods and materials.
• Knowledge of heating, plumbing, lighting and ventilation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, vacuum, dust, and polish fixtures and floors.
• Move furniture and equipment.
• Scrub and disinfect restrooms and drinking fountains; empty trash.
• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Report vandalism or theft to supervisor.
• Perform minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general mechanical areas.
• Wash windows and chalkboards; replace light bulbs.
• Complete snow maintenance and grass cutting; other maintenance tasks.
• Assist staff as requested; work in cafeteria as assigned.
• Direct temporary employees occasionally.
