Qualifications

• Physically demanding work, able to lift up to 50 pounds, indoors and outdoors.
• Strong practical carpentry skills and broad knowledge of building maintenance, tools, and equipment.
• Trade license, certification, or formal apprenticeship training preferred but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry repairs and improvements, including doors, hardware, cabinetry, trim, drywall, shelving, and general building repairs.
• Complete a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including painting, furniture repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with campus grounds maintenance, seasonal upkeep, and snow and ice removal.
• Set up and break down school events, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, staging, furniture, and equipment.
• Participate in all departmental responsibilities as needed, including occasional evening and weekend events.
