Job summary

Milan Institute is seeking a Maintenance Person to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our school facilities. You will perform routine maintenance tasks and respond to repair needs throughout the campus.

This role requires a high school diploma and proven maintenance experience, with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Flexibility for evenings or weekends and a strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment.
• Building Repairs: Address and resolve minor structural issues, including doors, windows, walls, and roofs.
• Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the school's outdoor spaces, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal during the winter months.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas as needed.
