Job summary

Indianapolis Public Schools seeks a skilled plumber to repair, maintain, update, and remodel plumbing systems, pools, gas, water, drainage, sewer, and fire protection on a 24-hour basis as needed. You will modernize facilities with new fixtures and ensure sanitary, safe environments for students and staff.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a State Plumbing License, 5 years of on-the-job plumbing experience, and a valid Indiana Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Diverse knowledge of piping materials and joining methods.

Responsibilities

• Complete job repair tickets daily.
• Troubleshoot to determine repair vs. replacement.
• Move piping to accommodate new projects as needed.
• Complete inspection requirements (Fire Marshall, back flow prevention, certifications).
• Replace water and waste lines and update bathroom facilities when schools are not in session.
