Job summary

Melissa ISD is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair of district building structures and systems, and to assist with grounds maintenance. Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver's license is required.
• 3 years of general building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with maintenance and repair of district facilities.
• Inspect buildings and grounds, perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Move, install, and repair school furniture and equipment as needed.
• Operate light trucks to transport furniture and equipment districtwide.
• Follow safety procedures and use tools properly.
