Job summary

Melissa ISD seeks a skilled Electrician to maintain, repair, and install electrical systems in district facilities. This role requires a valid TDLR journeyman license and four years of electrical experience, reporting to the Director of Maintenance.

Qualified candidates will ensure safe operation of all electrical systems, read blueprints and schematics, and perform preventive maintenance with on-site duties and occasional emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid TDLR journeyman electrician license.
• Clear and valid Texas driver's license.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to diagnose problems and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in district facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems; test circuit continuity.
• Follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for installations.
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials; complete work orders.
• Respond to emergencies; schedule and complete projects with staff.
