Job summary

Echo Canyon in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Facilities Coordinator II to oversee custodial and maintenance activities for a K-8/middle school. The role supervises staff, coordinates preventive maintenance, and ensures a safe, clean environment. Immediate starting date and a valid AZ driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities include inspections, scheduling, inventory, and coordinating with staff and administrators for daily operations and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of relevant maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supervising staff or contractors and coordinating maintenance schedules.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, facility systems, and basic mechanical/electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees district employees or contracted workers, prioritizing and assigning work and ensuring staff training.
• Conducts inspections of facilities to ensure systems and equipment meet standards.
• Oversees maintenance activities including servicing, troubleshooting, and operating district equipment and facilities.
• Provides customer service by responding to requests from staff, administrators, parents, vendors, and visitors.
• Coordinates facility activities for events, gymnasiums, and storage needs.
• Responds to emergency situations.
• Prepares schedules, work orders, logs, and reports and submits information as needed.
• Participates in facility expansion/renovation meetings.
• Coordinates staffing and support for middle school athletics and events.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
