Job summary

Shawnee Heights USD 450 seeks a Head Custodian for Shawnee Heights Middle School in Tecumseh, Kansas. You will lead the custodial team, ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, and coordinate daily maintenance with the Custodial Coordinator and Principal.

This full-time, year-round role requires lifting, operating equipment, and readiness to handle emergencies, with duties including opening/closing buildings, supervising staff, and supporting cafeteria operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a school custodian or custodial service is preferred.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Experience with electrical, maintenance, and carpentry tasks is an asset.
• Must pass a physical examination, TB test, and drug test as required.

Responsibilities
