Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Lead Custodian for Memorial Middle for the 2026-2027 school year. The role oversees custodial operations, opens/closes buildings, and ensures safety, cleanliness and readiness for events.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma and 3–5 years custodial experience, with bilingual English/Spanish abilities. The position is non-exempt and falls under the Auxiliary Pay Plan, requiring physical stamina and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak Basic English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Execute assignment changes to cover for absent staff as needed.
• Communicate with foreman about custodial supply needs and facility concerns.
• Perform general cleaning: stripping, buffing, sweeping, dusting, mopping and scrubbing.
• Move and rearrange furniture, clean halls and replenish supplies.
• Assist with waste prevention, or careless use of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
