Job summary

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of classrooms, offices, and common areas. Expect routine after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; associate degree or vocational training is a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years in custodial services, with 1-2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under Alabama laws and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, and evaluates custodial staff.
• Develops and implements custodial work schedules and assignments.
• Ensures a safe, secure, and healthy environment for students and staff.
• Maintains knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment for floors, walls, fixtures.
• Performs preventive maintenance and manages supplies and inventory.
• Delivers supplies and relocates furniture as needed.
• Ensures proper handling of chemicals and safety procedures.
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
