Job summary

District Wide is seeking an Activities Custodian to support Star Valley High School and Star Valley Middle School. The role ensures a safe, clean facility, coordinating with activity directors and managing event-related maintenance and teardown.

The position requires weekend and after-hours flexibility, strong teamwork, and good communication. It includes operating maintenance equipment, monitoring areas during events, and securing the building after events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with activity directors and manage scheduling for Star Valley Middle School and Star Valley High School events
• Operate maintenance equipment including tractors and floor scrubbers
• Salt and clear sidewalks on event days to ensure public safety
• Monitor restrooms, gym foyer, garbages, officials locker room and team locker rooms; empty garbage after events
• Control building heating and lighting during events
• Ensure a safe and clean playing environment and spectator area
• Report damaged items and coordinate repairs with the district
• Communicate cleaning/maintenance schedules with coaches and directors
• Fulfill event setup and teardown duties and supervise facility when events occur
• Lock and unlock doors to secure the building after events
