Job summary

Owens Realty Services is seeking a Part-time Day Porter/Event Setup Specialist in Bridgeport, CT. This role maintains cleanliness, safety, and daily readiness of a school facility and supports setup, breakdown, and custodial tasks for events, meals, arrivals, and dismissals.

You will clean restrooms, replenish supplies, manage trash, prep classrooms and common areas, assist with tables, chairs, signs, and equipment, and respond quickly to spills or requests while presenting a professional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties in a professional manner and maintains high standards of service.
• Performs continuous cleaning and touch-up services throughout the school day.
• Cleans and maintains restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, floors, and replenishes supplies.
• Empties trash and recycling containers and transports waste to designated areas.
• Maintains hallways, entrances, common areas, cafeterias, and classrooms.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, podiums, and signs for events.
• Prepares cafeterias, gymnasiums, classrooms, and meeting rooms for events.
• Monitors event areas and performs post-event cleanup.
