Job summary

Owens Realty Services is seeking a Day Porter to perform custodial duties across facilities in Connecticut. The position requires cleaning approximately 4,500–5,000 sq ft per hour and involves routine janitorial tasks, safety practices, and uniform compliance.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and about six months of related experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of office areas, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas.
• Mops and sweeps as needed; cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, windows, and related items.
• Empties waste baskets, disposes of debris, and empties trash to proper containers.
• Replenishes rest room supplies; cleans and disinfects lavatories and locker rooms daily.
• Maintains cleaning carts and custodial closets, reports safety hazards to supervisor.
