Job summary

The Saint Cloud School District 742 is seeking an Assistant Engineer to oversee the day‑to‑day operation of district buildings, including mechanical systems, cleaning, grounds, and safety. This role serves students, staff and parents and reports to the Executive Director of Operations and building leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a special class boiler license (or ability to secure one within six months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Special class boiler license (or ability to secure within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily cleaning activities of custodians and assist with moving furniture and supplies.
• Perform maintenance repair on plumbing, heating and electrical equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building equipment and monitor grounds and security.
• Support administrative tasks including record keeping and coordinating vendors.
