Job summary

Lodi Unified School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order across district facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, floors, and common areas, plus basic groundskeeping and event setup.

The role requires the ability to perform heavy physical work, follow instructions, and maintain safe, clean environments. High school diploma or equivalent is required; custodial experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; custodial experience desirable.
• Ability to learn cleaning methods and proper care of equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
• Read and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, sanitize, scrub, dust and clean offices, hallways, restrooms, classrooms, cafeterias and other areas.
• Strip, mop and wax floors; vacuum rugs; empty trash; replenish supplies.
• Set up tables, chairs and equipment for events; move furniture as needed.
• Lock/unlock buildings; operate alarms; maintain security.
• Report vandalism or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
