Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking a diligent maintenance/custodian to follow cleaning schedules, sanitize classrooms and restrooms, and assist with safety and minor repairs. You will help with event setup, inventory, and building operations under supervision.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read instructions, a valid Texas or New Mexico driver’s license, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedule and sanitize floors, restrooms, windows and equipment.
• Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks as directed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs.
• Regulate HVAC within district guidelines to ensure safe temperatures.
• Open, secure and monitor facilities as required.
• Attend required safety trainings.
