Applitrack in El Paso, TX seeks a working leader to assist the head custodian in coordinating and monitoring custodial staff and services at the assigned campus. You will perform, schedule, and implement routine cleaning and maintenance to maintain safety, cleanliness and efficiency of building operations.
Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, overseeing HVAC, directing floor refinishing, ensuring safety, and training custodial staff.
Perform as a working leader to assist the head custodian in coordinating and monitoring custodial staff and custodial services at assigned campus. Perform, schedule, and implement routine cleaning duties and maintenance procedures to ensure a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency of building operations and grounds. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as, district policies, procedures and regulations.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); two (2) years verifiable experience in custodial services including one (1) year supervisory experience in any field OR four (4) years school district custodial experience; ability to read, write, understand and speak English; ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures; knowledge of minor repair techniques and building maintenance; ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment. Must possess a valid Texas or New Mexico driver's license; be insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier; subject to the district drug and alcohol testing policy and regulation.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently, 20-50 pounds occasionally, more than 50 pounds infrequently and with assistance; ability to climb ladders unassisted up to 8 feet unassisted and higher with assistance; work under all weather conditions; extended periods of walking, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting; ability to work with potentially hazardous materials in a safe manner and safely perform required duties in potentially hazardous environments. Must be adaptable to work a shift schedule and/or hours other than regularly assigned; must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies.
