Diamond Lakes Elementary in Hephzibah, GA is hiring a Custodian to perform cleaning and facilities maintenance for the school plant. The role involves general housekeeping, safe handling of cleaning chemicals, and ensuring a safe, orderly environment for students and staff.

The position is classified/non-contracted with options for 200 days (10 months) or 235 days (12 months). Reports to the School Principal and requires flexibility with overtime.

Qualifications

• Education as stated: eighth grade or higher, HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of building and grounds work methods, materials and practices.
• Ability to operate custodial and grounds care equipment safely and effectively.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Must be ethical, professional, and able to follow directions.

Responsabilités

• Perform general housekeeping and facilities maintenance tasks.
• Clean and maintain diverse surfaces including floors, walls, and fixtures.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and dispose of waste according to regulations.
• Open/close buildings per district protocols and supervise access when required.
