Job summary

Bulloch County Schools Mill Creek Elementary in Statesboro, GA is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain cleanliness throughout the assigned building and assist with heavy lifting and other duties as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and experience working with a diverse group of people. It is non-exempt with a 190-day term and salary based on the district schedule. Safety and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential function and comply with accommodations if needed.
• Criminal background check per district policy GAK(1).

Responsibilities

• Operates power tools and custodial equipment.
• Performs indoor/outdoor cleaning and routine tasks.
• Follows safety rules and passes drug/alcohol tests when required.
• Performs minor repairs and furniture assembly as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of restrooms, classrooms, offices and storage areas.
• Reports issues to head custodian and uses school-approved products.
