Job summary

Bixby Public Schools District Wide is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. The role involves following supervisor instructions and supporting students, staff, and visitors as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning, securing buildings, setting up rooms, handling deliveries, and assisting with events. Lifting 25+ lbs and working in varying weather are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
• [State] Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at start/end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas according to district standards.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean rugs, carpets, blinds, walls, ceilings and windows.
• Remove graffiti and manage waste; assist recycling program.
• Set up/break down chairs, tables and equipment for meetings and rooms.
• Deliver supplies to classrooms and restrooms; assist in school events.
• Clear debris outside; maintain school grounds and snow removal as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
