Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a General Cleaner for Gainesville City Schools in Gainesville, GA. This role supports custodial and cleaning operations across school facilities, with shifts including 1st and 2nd, and opportunities for full- and part-time arrangements.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, restroom maintenance, and basic setup for events. No prior experience required; wage is based on responsibilities and local pay scales.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, fixtures and other interior items.
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Sweep entryways and empty exterior trash outside entrances.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Change interior light bulbs reachable from a 6th-step ladder or lower.
• Notify management of needed repairs.
• Remove snow/ice and apply salt as needed.
• Organize custodial closets and supplies.
• Move/set up furniture for special functions as directed.
• Additional duties as required by supervisor.
