Job summary

HES is seeking custodians for Madison County Schools in Georgia to support daily school operations. Positions include day and evening shifts, full-time and part-time options, with responsibilities covering floor care, window cleaning, and general facility upkeep.

Candidates must have basic reading/writing skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a willingness to learn. A criminal background check is required; training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions.
• Criminal background check required.
• No prior experience necessary, all training provided.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, fixtures, and windows.
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Empty trash and maintain restrooms and supplies.
• Move furniture and assist with special room setups as needed.
• Remove snow and ice and apply salt where required.
• Organize custodial closets and report maintenance needs.
