Job summary

The position involves cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and hallways; restocking supplies; reporting maintenance needs; setting up for events; following safety protocols; and flexible hours including evenings or weekends if necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Must pass a background check as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing classrooms and common areas.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events and activities.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and students.
• Assist in removal of trash and recycling from all areas.
• Participate in special cleaning projects during breaks or after events.
• Maintain custodial equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Collaborate with staff to support cleanliness and school functionality.
• Adhere to school policies including health and safety requirements.
