Job summary

The Leona Group in Michigan is seeking a custodial staff member to help maintain clean facilities across the academy, including classrooms and common areas. You will follow directions from the School Leader to ensure a safe, presentable environment for students and staff.

You will report safety or health concerns, adhere to universal precautions, and may assist with purchasing cleaning supplies. You’ll coordinate with staff and possibly the facility landlord, performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and speaking skills to understand instructions and safety information.
• Ability to organize work to meet daily deadlines.
• May be required to work afternoon or evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Implement the directives of the School Leader regarding cleaning the academy facility.
• Report safety or health concerns related to the facility and correct hazards when possible.
• Follow universal precautions including bloodborne pathogens procedures.
• May handle ordering or purchasing cleaning supplies and document expenditures.
• Collaborate with staff and coordinate work with the facility landlord if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
