Job summary

Palmerton Area School District is seeking a full-time custodian at Senior High School to maintain a safe, clean facility and perform light maintenance. The role requires Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 FBI clearances, plus a PA driver’s license and at least two years of custodial experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning, inventory, setup for activities, minor maintenance, safety compliance, and seasonal exterior care, with duties assigned by the Building Principal and district facilities staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Driver's license required; 2+ years custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services to all assigned areas per district standards.
• Maintain building and supply inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
• Set up facilities for all activities.
• Perform minor maintenance and report larger maintenance items.
• Coordinate movement of equipment and assist with deliveries.
• Observe boilers and other plant equipment and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to facility hardware.
• Repair furniture and fixtures as necessary.
• Provide seasonal exterior care (winter elements, leaves, debris).
• On occasion, assist with duties under the Building Principal.
