Job summary

The Palmyra Area School District is seeking a full-time Custodian at the High School to keep facilities clean and safe for students and staff. You will be trained during the initial period and guaranteed full-time work while you are learning the role.

Evening shifts occur during the school year from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with In-Service days offering day shifts; summer hours run 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, Fridays off. All required clearances are paid for by PASD.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must provide PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance, and FBI Clearance (paid by PASD).
• Must be able to work independently with or without supervision.
• Minimum starting rate of $15.48 - $18.78 per hour; credit may be given for relevant experience.
• Working hours: during the school year 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; summer days may include day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways/stairwells, multi-purpose rooms, windows, etc.
• Daily trash removal
• Event set-up and tear down
• Minor maintenance fixes
• Transferring items to different locations within the buildings, including lifting boxes
• Summer cleaning as assigned
