Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain school buildings and surrounding areas in a safe, clean, and attractive condition. The role involves daily cleaning, minor repairs, event setup, and campus security responsibilities to support the school community.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years custodial experience, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to take on related duties are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years custodial experience, preferably in a school environment.
• Experience operating equipment (vacuum, polishers, auto-scrubbers, etc.).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills to include MS Office applications.
• Willing to be flexible and perform related supporting duties.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, clean, and vacuum floors in classrooms, offices, halls, and common areas.
• Disinfect lavatories daily and maintain cleanliness of fixtures and surfaces.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, cafeterias, and kitchens.
• Assist with setup for school events and move furniture as required.
• Report major repairs or hazards to the principal or operations director.
