Job summary

Mounds Park Academy is seeking a Facilities and Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial operations at the Saint Paul campus. This full-time role oversees daily cleaning, safety, and event setup, while coordinating staff and maintenance tasks.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, HVAC and maintenance knowledge, excellent communication, and a commitment to the school’s mission. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Five to ten years of experience in the same or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and highly organized with attention to detail.
• General experience in HVAC, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Commitment to MPA’s mission and to being a positive ambassador.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Exceptional project management skills, including multitasking and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advance the mission, vision, and values of Mounds Park Academy.
• Be present and ready to work as needed to meet responsibilities.
• Maintain safety of students and manage crises if needed.
• Plan and oversee custodial work with high safety and cleanliness standards.
• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas.
• Coordinate work requests and vacation schedules for staff.
• Set up furniture and equipment for events.
• Perform repairs to buildings, mechanicals, furniture, and equipment.
• Assist Facilities Manager with planning and coordination.
• Perform weekly building inspections.
• Respond to emergency clean-ups and repairs.
• Operate building alarm and energy management systems.
• Work at heights up to thirty feet with a power lift.
• Maintain boundaries with students and communicate respectfully.
• Support strategic initiatives and collaborate with peers.
• Adhere to employee handbook policies.
