Job summary

Alamo Navajo School Board seeks a School Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary facilities at the Alamo Navajo Community School on a standard 40-hour week with flexible scheduling, including some night shifts and weekends.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, basic English comprehension, ability to lift 50–100 lbs, and knowledge of cleaning equipment, hazardous substances handling, and fire safety practices. Indian Preference applies.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Diploma required or equivalent.
• Entry level knowledge of safe operation of cleaning tools and equipment.
• Must have sufficient English comprehension, reading and speaking skills.
• Must be physically fit to lift or move up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary condition of facilities.
• Operate and care for cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Inspect facilities for safety and report hazards promptly.
• Assist with gym setup and removal for events.
• Follow safety, fire and hazmat guidelines and procedures.
