Ector County Independent School District DISTRICT POLICE DEPARTMENT - ODESSA, Texas is seeking a Police Captain to lead the ECISD police team. The role emphasizes command of field operations, policy enforcement, and supervision of sergeants and officers to protect students, staff, and facilities.

Starting immediately, the captain will manage performance evaluations, disciplinary matters, and coordination with district leadership while maintaining compliance with state laws and district policies.

Formación

• Knowledge of criminal law, investigation, and crime prevention techniques.
• Knowledge of the rules of evidence and the laws governing the custody of persons.
• Thorough knowledge of the police and procedures manual.

Responsabilidades

• Follow Board Policy and ECISD Police Department General Orders.
• Provide supervision for Sergeant positions and the respective personnel.
• Provide supervision for police operations and take command of field incidents.
• Ensure that proper policies and procedures are followed and that all actions are in accordance with applicable laws.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and analyze performance records of probationary officers.
• Oversee scheduling of personnel to ensure enough officers are available for tasks.
