Job summary

DISTRICT POLICE DEPARTMENT in Odessa, Texas seeks a District Police Officer to serve students, staff, and visitors and protect district property. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a basic or higher TCOLE certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports on all activities and perform duties as assigned by the Chief.
• May be assigned to day or night shifts.
• Perform police duties in compliance with applicable laws and department policies.
• Manage police reports and meet court-imposed deadlines.
• Maintain TCOLE licensing requirements and firearms proficiency.
• Work with principals, staff and students to ensure safety and visibility.
• Follow ECISD General Orders and Board Policy.
