Job summary

Humboldt Unified School District seeks a District HVAC Assistant in Prescott Valley, AZ for maintenance support. The role assists the HVAC Coordinator with troubleshooting, repairs, and routine upkeep to ensure safe, clean school facilities for students and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid AZ driver’s license, and the ability to operate maintenance equipment. Experience is preferred but not required, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• AZ Driver's License required.
• Criminal justice/fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assists HVAC Coordinator with troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Assists in the repair of maintenance equipment.
• Assists maintenance personnel with construction repairs, additions and remodeling as necessary.
• Attends to painting needs of district facilities.
• Maintains communication with assigned Coordinators to maintain upkeep of facilities and assets.
• Monitors and records safety concerns and reports findings to the Director of Maintenance.
• Assists with grounds keeping projects and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Completes records and reports in CMMS or hard copy as required.
• Checks inventories and prepares orders for supplies when needed.
