Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Baton Rouge is hiring a full-time FOOD UNIT LEAD for Collegiate Baton Rouge, 282 Lobdell Boulevard. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm. Fixed pay: $14.00 per hour. Prior food service and K-12 experience preferred.

You will coordinate activities of dining staff, ensure quality service, supervise food preparation, train employees, and manage schedules and daily reports. Chartwells K-12 offers training opportunities and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Prior food service and K-12 experience preferred.
• Must be able to coordinate dining operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of dining staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Delivers quality customer service and oversees meal service.
• Supervises food preparation according to company standards.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency.
• Prepares schedules and maintains daily/weekly reports (inventory, payroll).
• Handles cash and deposits as per Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders supplies from approved sources and ensures sanitation/safety.
