Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is seeking a Director of Dining Services in Washington, DC to lead and manage the food program for an independent school campus. The role emphasizes culinary excellence, strong leadership, and client-focused service.

The ideal candidate has hands-on kitchen experience, 5+ years in contract food service and catering, and a collaborative management style. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree or ten years of related experience.
• Strong culinary experience; hands-on in the kitchen.
• 5+ years’ experience in contract food service operations, high-end catering management, and campus dining experience; independent school dining preferred.
• Participative management style and excellent leadership skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Account and project management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team while maintaining client relationships.
• Awareness of current food trends and sustainable practices.
• Spanish language ability is a huge plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support account activities to ensure operations run smoothly and reflect the MG brand.
• Support account-based financial planning, budget/cost analysis, and reporting to meet goals.
• Lead by example; develop direct reports through coaching and feedback.
• Lead teams in meal prep, menu development, purchasing, and production.
• Support high-end catering, including planning, execution, and communication.
• Foster an inclusive environment for staff and guests; maintain strong client relationships.
• Maintain HACCP standards and a healthy environment for clients and employees.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, growth and development.
