Job summary

Nevada Virtual Charter School is seeking a School Wide Data Coach to provide direct support and professional learning to school staff for analyzing student data and informing instructional decisions. You will work with the principal and teachers to implement data-informed practices, generate reports and visualizations, and support PLCs to build data capacity across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience, or equivalent experience in a leadership position (i.e., grade-level, department, or committee chair, current school test coordinator)
• Experience with data analyses, presentation of data, and conducting professional development sessions.
• Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint
• Familiarity with Excel and Access; creating data visualizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as part of the building leadership team and be responsible for the disaggregation and analysis of a variety of school-wide data to improve and meet the unique academic and social needs of all students.
• Work directly with the principal and teachers supporting them in implementing student centered learning practices aligned with the curriculum.
• Convert intricate data sets into informative and user-friendly reports for schools. Generate graphic visualizations of data to help school leaders understand and interpret data.
• Support the Professional Learning Communities to build their capacity to understand and utilize data effectively and act as liaison for professional development opportunities.
• Assists teachers in developing effective assessments and using the data to track student growth. Develop protocols for teachers and students to track and analyze student progress toward mastery and to guide data discussions with other teachers and with students and parents.
• Monitor results of both state and local testing and assist schools with analysis of the results providing the starting point to guide teachers and administrators to continue the process.
