Cherokee County School District Ball Ground STEM Academy is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe learning environment in Ball Ground, GA. This salaried, non-exempt position offers an immediate start and is governed by the Custodial Salary Schedule for 218 days of the school year.

Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic experience with cleaning, floor and restroom care, and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and work in various locations/conditions.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and work well with others.

Responsabilités

• Accept direction from Head Custodian, Supervisor, or Administrator.
• Perform custodial and preventative maintenance duties in all district areas.
• Clean woodwork, walls, furniture, and windows with approved products.
• Mop, scrub, strip, wax, shampoo, vacuum, and spot-clean carpets and floors.
• Climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and walking for extended times.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
• Operate cleaning fluids and equipment with appropriate protective gear.
• Arrange furnishings for meetings and events.
• Move furnishings for routine and major cleaning.
• Respond to safety and operational concerns to maintain a functional environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow chain of command.
• Follow established safety procedures and district policies.
