Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at K-12 or higher education campuses. The role involves cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices and maintaining safe, tidy work areas for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Preferred: prior customer service experience.
• One year of prior similar work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
• Sweep, mop floors, and remove debris.
• Empty trash and maintain recycling in designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures when using chemicals and equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members.
• Notify managers about repairs or facility improvements.
• Polish surfaces and clean glass and mirrors.
• Assist with seasonal outdoor tasks as needed.
