Job summary

Qualifications

• Perform cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, dusting, mopping and restocking supplies.
• Promote positive relationships with staff, students, supervisors and community members.
• Adhere to district policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure school facilities are clean and well maintained.
• Communicate changes or concerns to Head Custodian or Maintenance/Custodial Manager.
• Monitor and secure custodial storage areas; keep doors/windows shut when appropriate.
• Return tools and supplies to secure storage at end of shift.
• Assist in projects such as refinishing floors and cleaning carpet.
• Set up/tear down rooms for meetings, classes or events; move furniture/equipment as needed.
• Complete snow removal and lawn care as required.
• Report safety hazards promptly; participate in safety training.
