Job summary

Statesboro High School in Bulloch County is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness across the building and assist with heavy lifting. 190-day term, non-exempt status, reports to the principal or designee.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, performing routine tasks, restrooms/classrooms upkeep, reporting repairs, storing chemicals safely, and following safety rules. A high school diploma or GED and a Georgia driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Performs indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks in all weather.
• Follows safety rules and participates in drug/alcohol testing when required.
• Performs minor repairs and moves furniture as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks: trash, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning and room setups.
• Maintains custodial closets, storage rooms, and carts.
• Reports repairs to head custodian and uses products provided by the school system.
• Maintains chemical storage and MSDS records.
• Performs preventative maintenance on custodial equipment and tools.
